Accountant/Project Management Administrative Assistant - Kelowna, Canada

Job Description

MINDS Automation Systems is a global software, hardware, and IT company with over 25 years of experience developing solutions surrounding process automation for the asphalt industry. With over 500 installations worldwide, and offices in 4 countries, MINDS Inc is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies for the road construction industry and redefining the standard for asphalt plant automation systems. We are currently looking for a full-time Accountant/Project Management Administrative Assistant to support our growing US business from our office in Kelowna.

Duties:

  • Payroll submission through Paychex and maintenance of Paychex
  • Preparation of Customer Invoices and shipping documentation
  • Recording and payment of Accounts Payable invoices from vendors
  • Filing monthly/quarterly sales tax returns and other government remittances
  • 401K and benefit processing and maintenance
  • Processing employee expense reports
  • Bookkeeping and entering transactions into NetSuite
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Assist Project Managers with project activities related to all projects.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of verifiable combination of any of the following:
  • Post-secondary education (Business or Accounting)
  • Accounting experience
  • Project Management Administrative experience
  • (Clerical work will not be considered.)

Salary: $50,000 to 65,000 per year

Place of work: Kelowna B.C.

Work Hours: Based on 40 hours a week

Paid Vacations: 3 weeks per year 1 week is mandatory to be taken December 24 through January 2.

Sick days: Up to 3 sick days per year are included.

Project Leader and Commissioning Engineer - Duffel, Belgium

This is a challenging but rewarding job position with a strong accent on business development. You will help our growth in Belgium, Netherlands and north of France while providing support to our resellers in other European countries.

We are a software, hardware, and IT company with over 25 years of experience developing solutions surrounding process automation for the road construction industry. With over 500 installations worldwide MINDS Inc is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies for asphalt plant control systems.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Approach road construction companies and present our products and services
  • Build market intelligence and map the industry players
  • Perform technical plant surveys
  • Write proposals and present them to prospect
  • Coordinate production with our manufacturing center
  • Coordinate and help installation, commissioning and customer training
  • Help with customer support
  • Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests
  • Manage projects and customer accounts
  • Support resellers or subsidiaries in other European countries related to the above mentioned tasks.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Degree or at minimum technical college level in an engineering field such as electricity, electromechanics, industrial automation
  • Proven experience from process industry such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries, Road and infrastructure is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and sales skills
  • Fluency or at least working proficiency in Dutch, French and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Availability to work non-office hours and perform call-out services, if applicable.
  • Driving license for car as frequent travel to customer sites will be required (50%+ of the time)
